Overheard in Japanese

Me and my friend L in the restaurant on our building's ground floor

Here's a sampling of some real-world vocabulary I've been overhearing! This is my way of retaining it, though I need to put it into practice! やだ... :)

Overheard in the workplace
お疲れ様(です) — otsukare sama (desu) — Thanks for today/That's enough for today (when leaving)
お客様 — okyaku sama — guest/customer (highest form of polite address)

Overheard in the real world!
けっこう(な)— kekkou (na) — splendid, fine, no thank you
だから — dakara — for this reason; because
同じ (おなじ)— onaji — same
それで — sore de — and; because of that
やだ — ya da — I don't like it!/I don't wanna!
